What is formply

Formply is structural plywood overlaid on both sides with a resin-impregnated film that has been fused into the surface veneer under heat and pressure. The resulting surface proves to be resistant to moisture making it particularly suitable for repeated use in concrete formwork. Its tough surface resists the scouring action of aggregates for longer than raw wood and is able to resist the attack of alkaline elements contained in concrete even after repeated pours.

Formply is dimensionally stable, rigid, light, and easy to install. The cross laminated structure of Formply utilises the inherent strength of wood along its grain, to provide stability even under moisture and temperature changes.
Large areas of Formply can be laid minimising problems associated with swelling and expansion.
Formply is easily sawn, bored and shaped with standard woodworking tools providing advantages and forming difficult areas.
The cross – laminated panels are resistant to puncture caused by impact loads because of the very high strength and stiffness to weight ratios.
Formply possesses many physical and mechanical properties, which make it both, cost competitive and very suitable for formwork application.
